After my EXPOSED event, I’ve been led to do a project in which I’m calling “Project 50/50”. I know, I know that I need to explain the concept, so here it is: Starting in September, I’m going to take 50 photographs over 50 sequential days of 50 different people telling their stories in 50 words or less with a 50mm lens.
I first announced this on Saturday night at the Marc Lacy and Friends :: Part II event and was assured that this was the right thing to do. There are people around me and you everyday who have stories to share that we all can benefit from. I’m looking for stories of joy… stories of pain… stories of triumph and yes, stories of defeat. God just showed me how I can use my gift of photography to be used as a platform for people to share their stories…
“What makes me want to do this… especially when I’m not going to get paid for it?” Again, God put this on my heart and I just want to be obedient. I plan to complete this project to the same level of quality that I’m known to deliver – but I do ask that you pray for me as I take on this task.
To quote my sister Valorie, “Everybody has a story”. Â If you have a story that you would like to share, please contact me and let’s make it happen!
Very nice. Wonderful concept. Best of luck in reaching your goals.
