A few weeks ago, I blogged on a project that I did with one of Huntsville’s Most Interesting People (HMIP), Marc Lacy, (poet/author/lecturer), on a Spoken Word EP – NARCOLEPTIC.  One thing about working with the artist, is that I get to listen to the product before the public and I must say that I think this EP is Marc’s most creative work yet!  On this project, he worked with AVO Publishing and Kelvin Wooten of Woodaworx Productions. He included vocals from Gloria Caldwell, Larinda Donnell, Kathy Yolanda Rice, Cathy Miller Robinson, Malcolm Singleton, and Alexandria Thomas.

BUT THE PHOTO & DESIGN: Richie Carter Photography!

On January 29th, 2011, Marc held a CD Release Party at J’s Special Occasion here in Huntsville, AL.  When this was announced the community came out in droves to support and congratulate him on this effort.  He even had people come in from out of state to witness this great event!  Some of the people who came to support him are Lil’ Dottie’s (excellent catering), Jahni Moore (artist), Kimeko (emcee), DJ Self-Esteem, Sylvia Smith (Pro-Make-up Studios), ArtNSoul, AVO and RADAR Magazine’s staff!

Special shout-outs go to Urban Light and Jay White for their Spoken Word Performances!!!  Huntsville will be asking for these two to come back REAL SOON!

Be sure to follow these critically acclaimed artists, Urban Light and Jay White on the internet.

With that said, I did snap a few shots and some video to capture the night.  Here’s another FUSION video that I came up with and I hope that you enjoy….

The track used in this video is the first track on the CD, ‘Go Head’!
